YaoGan-35 Group-03 launched from Xichang Spaceport
At 13:28 UTC on July 29 (09:28 p.m Beijing), CASC's Long March 2D (CZ-2D) Y65 rocket successfully launched another group of three Yaogan-35 satellites from Xichang Satellite Launch Center in Sichuan Province, China. The Payload successfully entered the predetermined orbit, and the launch mission is a complete success.
The satellites are the third batch of the Yaogan-35 family, and will mainly be used for scientific experiments, surveys of land resources, estimating agricultural production, as well as disaster prevention and mitigation.
China launched the first batch of three Yaogan-35 satellites on November 6 last year and the second batch last month. This mission is the 429th flight of the Long March series of launch vehicles and China's 27th Orbital launch activity in 2022.
Long March-2D, a Chinese two-stage orbital carrier rocket, is mainly used for launching LEO and SSO satellites. It is manufactured by the Shanghai Academy of Spaceflight Technology (SAST), a subsidiary of the Eighth Academy of CASC. This is the 60th launch of LM-2D, The rocket used in this mission is a two-stage state configuration. In this state, the total length of the whole launch vehicle exceeds 41 meters, and the take-off mass is 232 tons.
