Long March 2C successfully launched two Siwei Gaojing-02 Remote Sensing satellites

The construction of the first phase of a new generation of commercial remote sensing satellite systems was successfully completed.

Long March 2C rocket launched from Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center

At 6:57 on July 16, 2022, Beijing time (July 15, 22:57 UTC), China successfully launched the Siwei 03/04 satellites using the Long March 2C carrier rocket at the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center on a Foggy weather, The satellite successfully entered the predetermined orbit, and the launch mission was a complete success.

This mission is the 427th flight of the Long March series of launch vehicles, the 24th launch of this year 2022 from China, and the 86th orbital launch worldwide.

LM-2C Launch Vehicle is a liquid two-stage launcher designed and manufactured by China Academy of Launch Vehicle Technology (CALT), a subsidiary of CGWIC. This is the 64th launch of LM-2C.

SuperView Neo, designed and developed by the China Academy of Space Technology (CAST), are two commercial earth observation satellites of 0.5m resolution. The Satellites mainly serve in the traditional satellite remote sensing application industry such as resource and environment monitoring and management, ecological civilization construction, emergency management, etc., and also aim at the emerging market including smart water conservancy, 3D real scenes, urban information model, smart agriculture and intelligent transportation.

  • It's 4D feature improves the agile imaging capability of the satellite by optimizing the configuration of the satellite attitude control and measurement components:

  • The front, lower and rear three-view stereo imaging can realize the 3D reconstruction of the ground target; the five-strip stitching imaging can realize a large area one-time rapid imaging Coverage.

  • The multi-target imaging method of 20 targets in the same orbit makes rapid monitoring possible

  • It further optimized linear ground object tracking, active push-broom imaging, and north-south push-broom imaging along the earth have greatly improved imaging efficiency and satellite data.

  • Acquisition capability; the high-efficiency data transmission system with large-capacity storage capability and the phased array antenna are used together to realize high-speed data download in fast maneuvering.
